Your data
When you make a booking, we collect the passenger details required to arrange a Laos-China Railway ticket: name, date of birth, nationality, passport number, passport country and expiry date, and a passport photograph. We also collect your email address and, if you provide them, WhatsApp and emergency-contact details.
We receive booking, payment-reference, refund, device, and security information needed to run the service. Card details are handled by PayPal; Naga Rail does not store card numbers.
We use your data to assess and fulfil your booking, submit the passenger information required by the rail operator, deliver tickets and service messages, process payments and refunds, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
We share only the data necessary with the Laos-China Railway booking operator, PayPal, and service providers that host, secure, store, email, or operate our service. Those providers may process data outside Laos. We do not sell or rent personal data.
We process booking data to perform our contract with you, meet legal obligations, protect our legitimate interests in operating a secure service, and on the basis of consent where it is required. You may withdraw consent, but we may need certain data to provide or complete a booking.
Passport numbers and passport images are encrypted before storage. We keep the operational passport image only as long as needed for ticket fulfilment. We retain an encrypted archive and the encrypted passport number for up to 365 days to handle ticket disputes and payment chargebacks, then delete them automatically.
We retain booking and accounting records only for as long as needed for customer support, fraud prevention, accounting, tax, and legal compliance. A one-way passport hash may be retained for secure booking lookup; it cannot be used to recover a passport number.
Depending on applicable law, you may ask us to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact support@nagarail.com with your booking reference. We may need to verify your identity and may retain information where law requires it.
We use essential cookies and similar storage needed for language, booking, security, and payment flows. We do not use advertising cookies.
